The right fit is
the one that suits you.
A straightforward comparison of DIY, studio and installer fitting. Exact edges and outcomes depend on the vehicle, panel and verified kit pattern.
| Consider | DIY Kit | Studio-fitted | Installer-fitted |
|---|---|---|---|
| Edges | DIY pattern may stop a few millimetres short | Studio installation can wrap edges where vehicle and pattern allow | Ask the chosen installer about their method |
| Support | Follow the instructions supplied with the kit | Discuss coverage and vehicle with our team | Confirm support directly with the installer |
| Availability | Pattern and year must be confirmed | Book a consultation to check the fit | Network is being developed; coverage not guaranteed |
| Best for | Hands-on owners | Melbourne and Geelong vehicle owners | Owners outside the studio catchment |
Film warranty, kit-specific warranty terms and installer accreditation details are not published until confirmed and documented.
Choosing a fitting option, answered.
You can fit a pre-cut PPF kit yourself, have it fitted at the Signsnwraps studio in Laverton North, or ask about installer options. The best choice depends on your experience, the panels and how perfect you need the edges.
Is DIY PPF installation hard?
Small, flat pieces such as door cups and headlights are manageable for a careful first-timer. Bonnets and bumpers are harder because film has to be stretched and positioned without trapping dust or creasing.
What's the advantage of a professional PPF install?
Experience with stretching, edges and difficult curves, a controlled clean environment, and the ability to wrap edges where the vehicle and pattern allow.
